For U.S. dental labs · Remote

Dental CAD design for U.S. labs, done by one designer you can reach.

Surgical guides, implant planning, All-on-X and immediate-load design for U.S. laboratories and clinics: 24–48 hours for single and partial cases, 48–72 for full arch, by one designer, on your working hours.

Why U.S. labs send it here instead of a farm

One designer, start to finish

You send the case to Nicolás Petersen and he plans, designs and reviews it himself. No ticket queue, no rotating technicians, no farm.

Your working hours

Questions get answered while your lab is still open, not overnight into the next morning. Aruba runs on Atlantic time: the same clock as U.S. Eastern during daylight time, one hour ahead in winter.

You approve before you pay

You approve the report and the screenshots before anything is invoiced, and the production files follow the settled invoice. Revisions inside the approved plan are included, and if I miss the turnaround I stated when I took the case, that case is free.

Built for your kit and your printer

Your implant system and your guided kit, not a default: the sleeve seat and the drill offset come from that kit's published protocol. If either is missing from the libraries I run, I say so before I start. Files are exported for your printer or mill.

A printed surgical guide with metal sleeves seated on the model of the arch it was planned on
A guide is only right if it seats. Every guide is virtually seated against the scan it was designed from, with the seating surface, the block-out and the inspection windows checked before the file is released.

Pricing, in dollars, up front

Every price is design only. You review the plan and the design before you pay: approval is on the report and the screenshots, and the production files are released when the invoice is settled. Revisions inside the approved plan are included. The turnaround clock starts when I confirm your files are complete and stops while I am waiting on an answer from you; if I miss the turnaround I stated when I accepted the case, that case is free.

Questions U.S. labs ask first, answered

Is this a U.S. company?

No. NB Digital Dentistry is Nicolás Petersen, a digital dentistry designer based in Aruba, working remotely for laboratories and clinics in the United States, Canada and the Caribbean. Aruba is on Atlantic time, so the working day overlaps the U.S. Eastern business day.

How do files travel, and what about patient data?

You receive an encrypted upload link. Patient files never travel as email attachments and never over WhatsApp. Send the CBCT (DICOM) and intraoral scans (STL) with no patient identifiers in the file names; the design work needs none.

Who carries the regulatory responsibility, and who owns the plan?

You do, on both counts. The deliverable is a design file: printing, materials, sterilisation and every regulatory obligation stay with your laboratory or clinic, as they would for a design your own technician produced. The treating clinician prescribes the case, approves every implant position on their own screen and is solely responsible for the decision to place. I design to that prescription and tell you about anything in the data I would not drill on.

Can you work on-site in the U.S.?

The service is remote and file-based; that is how U.S. clients are served on the same 24–48 hour turnaround as Aruba clients. In-person work is available on Aruba.

What is the first-case offer?

The first case is free: one implant plan and guide of up to two implants for a clinic, or three restorative units for a laboratory. One per practice or laboratory, no plan and no card. Full-arch cases get a free planning preview instead of a free arch. It exists so you can judge the file quality before any money moves.
